| Abstract (English): | Human sexuality is a complex element of human life, involving biological, psychological and, above all, social factors. This article outlines the development of an instrument designed to assess clinical knowledge of LGBTI+ health among nursing, medical and dental students. Based on a literature review, we developed a 76-item questionnaire in the following stages: (1) language analysis and adaptation of content through six focus groups involving 21 heterosexual students and 20 LGBTI+ students from the three courses; (2) use of the Delphi technique with 16 experts in higher education in the three areas and in gender and sexual diversity. The findings show that the final 40-item version of the instrument is suitable for assessing training in health care for LGBTI+ people among students. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
| Abstract (Spanish): | La sexualidad humana es un aspecto complejo de la vida humana, con factores biológicos, psicológicos y, sobre todo, sociales. El objetivo del artículo es presentar la construcción de un instrumento para la evaluación del conocimiento clínico sobre salud LGBTI+ entre estudiantes de enfermería, medicina y odontología. A partir de la revisión de la literatura se desarrolló un cuestionario con 76 ítems que pasó por las etapas siguientes: (1) análisis de lenguaje y adecuación de contenido por medio de seis Grupos Focales con 21 estudiantes heterosexuales y veinte LGBTI+ de los tres cursos; (2) Técnica Delphi con 16 expertos en educación superior en las tres graduaciones y en género y diversidad sexual. Los datos del proceso señalan que el instrumento, en su versión final de cuarenta ítems, se encuentra adecuado para la evaluación de la formación de los estudiantes para la asistencia a la salud de personas LGBTI+. | Abstract (Portuguese): | A sexualidade humana é um tema complexo, sendo acompanhado também por fatores biológicos, psicológicos e, sobretudo, sociais. O artigo objetiva apresentar a construção de um instrumento para a avaliação do conhecimento clínico sobre saúde LGBTI+ entre estudantes de Enfermagem, Medicina e Odontologia. A partir de revisão de literatura, foi desenvolvido um questionário com 76 itens, que passou pelas seguintes etapas: (1) análise de linguagem e adequação de conteúdo por meio de seis grupos focais com 21 estudantes heterossexuais e vinte LGBTI+ dos três cursos; e (2) Técnica Delphi, com 16 experts em educação superior nas três formações; e em gênero e diversidade sexual.
