森田論文は、フロムにおける禅受容を手掛かりに、禅思想の枠組みをもって啓蒙の野蛮化の 乗りこえを模索するものであり、その着想自体は疑いなくユニークかつ有意義なものである。 しかし同論文では、フロムの禅受容を教育の問いとして引き取る手前で議論が終えられてお り、その教育学的な意義については必ずしも追究されていない。そこで本稿では、人間形成論・ 稽古論の観点から禅思想の研究に取り組んできた西平直の仕事に学びながら、禅における境地 へのプロセスと従来教育のプロセスとを重ね合わせて検討し、同論文の鍵概念「小文字の啓蒙 （悟り）」が有する教育学的可能性の探求を試みる。 [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
