The human right of access to ICTs is enshrined in the Law on the Rights of Children and Adolescents of the State of Tamaulipas and also establishes the right to health protection. However, prolonged exposure to ICTs entails various risks, including physical, mental, psychological, and social health problems. This issue prompted an analysis of the human right of access to ICTs versus the right to health protection for children and adolescents in Tamaulipas. El derecho humano de acceso a las TICS se encuentra previsto en la Ley de los Derechos de niñas, niños y adolescentes del Estado de Tamaulipas, y al mismo tiempo establece el derecho a la protección de la salud; sin embargo, la exposición prolongada a las TICS conlleva riesgos de distinta índole, como problemas de salud tanto en el aspecto físico, mental, psicológico y social. Esta problemática motivó efectuar el análisis del derecho humano de acceso a las TICS frente al derecho a la protección de la salud de las niñas, niños y adolescentes de Tamaulipas con el propósito de realizar propuestas jurídicas para prevenir los riesgos implícitos en la utilización de éstas.
