| Abstract (English): |
Educational institutions need to understand the processes linked to academic performance at university. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship that can be identified between academic performance, psychological well-being, and academic self-efficacy amongst university students. This non-experimental and descriptive-correlational research was carried out with the participation of 667 students from Formosa, Argentina. The instruments included the psychological well-being scale for university students and the self-efficacy scale for academic performance, which were adapted and validated for this study. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between academic performance, academic self-efficacy, and two dimensions of psychological well-being, showing a predictive power for competence and academic self-efficacy. La comprensión de los procesos vinculados al desempeño académico en la universidad reviste una particular importancia para las instituciones educativas. El objetivo de este estudio es establecer las relaciones que se establecen entre el rendimiento académico, el bienestar psicológico y la autoeficacia académica en estudiantes universitarios(as). Se realizó una investigación no experimental, descriptiva-correlacional con la participación de 667 estudiantes de Formosa, Argentina. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron la escala de bienestar psicológico para estudiantes universitarios y la de autoeficacia para el rendimiento académico, adaptadas y validadas para este trabajo. Los resultados presentaron una relación positiva y significativa entre el rendimiento académico, la autoeficacia académica y dos dimensiones del bienestar psicológico, evidenciando fuerza predictiva para competencia y autoeficacia académica.
