The purpose of this work was to identify the knowledge needs to carry out the evaluation of investment projects in Entrepreneurs and Innovators of the ITSSMT, the design of the research study was non-Experimental, Transversal - Correlational, with sampling by strata. and as a research technique, the documentary was applied and the field was based on the Survey, the results found provide the basis for developing a tool based on ICT, which serves as a didactic and simulation instrument to strengthen decision making in the field. La finalidad del presente trabajo fue identificar las necesidades de conocimiento para realizar la evaluación de proyectos de inversión en Emprendedores e Innovadores del ITSSMT, el diseño del estudio de investigación fue no Experimental,Transversal - Correlacional, con un muestreo por estratos. y como técnica de investigación se aplicó la documental y la de campo estuvo basada en la Encuesta, los resultados encontrados dan las base para desarrollar una herramienta basada en TIC, que sirva como instrumento didáctico y de simulación para fortalecer la toma de decisiones en el ámbito Financiero de los emprendedores e innovadores con características de una PyME.
