| Abstract (English): | This article aimed to analyze the verbal and non-verbal text in Biology textbooks of the National Book and Teaching Material Program (PNLD), year of 2021, with the aim of identifying racial hierarchies in the discourses of those. For that, Depth Hermeneutics based the data interpretation, whose results have demonstrated that, on an figure basis, the white people's representations exceeded when compared to the black people's. In regard to the verbal text, the results of the analyzed material, converging with the previous studies, pointed that the racism continues to operate, either in a subtle way or more explicit, as in the almost absence of credits to the technologycal originated from black people's knowledge and black scientists. | Abstract (Spanish): | Este artículo analizó el texto verbal y no verbal en los libros de texto de Biología del Programa Nacional del Libro y Material Didáctico (PNLD), año 2021, objetivando identificar posibles jerarquías raciales en estos discursos. Para esto, la metodología de la Hermenéutica de Profundidad fundamentó la interpretación de datos, cuyos resultados demostraron que, en el plano visual, las representaciones de personas blancas se sobresalieron cuando comparadas con las negras. En el texto verbal, los resultados de los materiales analizados apuntaron que, convergiendo con los estudios anteriores, el racismo continúa operando, ora de modo más sutil, ora más explicito, como en la quasi total ausencia de créditos para contribuciones tecnológicas provenientes de conocimientos y científicos negros. | Abstract (Portuguese): | O estudo visou analisar o texto verbal e não verbal em livros didáticos de Biologia do Programa Nacional do Livro e do Material Didático (PNLD 2021), com o objetivo de identificar possíveis hierarquizações raciais nesses discursos. Para tanto, a metodologia da Hermenêutica de Profundidade fundamentou a interpretação dos dados, cujos resultados demonstraram que, no plano imagético, as representações de pessoas brancas se sobressaíram quando comparadas com as negras. Já sobre o texto verbal, os resultados dos materiais analisados apontaram que, convergindo com estudos anteriores, o racismo continua operando, ora de modo mais sutil e ora mais explícito, como na quase total ausência de créditos para contribuições tecnológicas provindas de conhecimentos e/ou cientistas negros/as.
