This article aims to demonstrate how the integration of Science, Technology, and Society studies within the Tobacco Business System in Cuba has a favorable impact, as it promotes responsible and sustainable development of this important economic activity, both because it is a fundamental pillar of the national economy and due to its cultural and social tradition, specifically in agricultural production and the tobacco rolling process. Through the conducted literature review, a comprehensive analysis was achieved that considers not only technical and economic aspects but also social, ethical, and environmental dimensions. This approach can help develop more sustainable and responsible practices in a sector that faces multiple contemporary challenges. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

Este artículo tiene como objetivo fundamentar cómo la inserción de los estudios de Ciencia, Tecnología y Sociedad dentro del Sistema Empresarial del Tabaco en Cuba tienen un impacto favorable pues promueven un desarrollo responsable y sostenible de esta importante actividad económica, tanto por ser un pilar fundamental de la economía nacional, como por su tradición cultural y social, específicamente en la producción agrícola y en el proceso del torcido del tabaco. A partir de la revisión bibliográfica realzada se logró un análisis integral que considera no solo los aspectos técnicos y económicos, sino también las dimensiones sociales, éticas y ambientales. Este enfoque puede contribuir a desarrollar prácticas más sostenibles y responsables en un sector que enfrenta múltiples desafíos contemporáneos. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
