Abstract (English): The general objective of this study was to characterize how students of the Primary Education Teacher program prepare their preprofessional practical interventions in the areas of natural and social sciences in a teacher training institution in Uruguay. To do this, we aim to identify who and how students are supported in the planning processes of their didactic interventions in practice. The research was developed from a qualitative approach, under the premises of action research. The data collection techniques to understand the phenomenon under study, based on the narratives of those who participate in the process under study, were two focus groups with 8 and 4 teachers respectively and workshops with 19 students, during the year 2022. The results show the need for improvement in communication and interaction between key actors for learning and the quality of the productions of the interns, such as teachers of the disciplines and assigned teachers. The itinerary for planning, implementing and evaluating science classes that students must carry out within the framework of pre-professional practice presents a high diversity of formats and little structure. Students go through this itinerary with little feedback. This is a reality that needs to be problematized and agreements generated aimed at forming communities committed to initial training in science teaching at the level of future teachers.
