Topics explored include the notable rulers in world history such as Sargon of the Akkadian Empire, Alexander the Great, and Mauryan Emperor Ashoka, the way teaching students about political leaders gives them the opportunity to reflect on their own self-authority, and the qualities associated with authentic leadership such as self-knowledge, accountability, and self-regulation. |
