| Abstract: | After Takeuchi's and Chen's initiation to launch some regional postcolonial studies in Asia through the 'Asia as method' praxis, there has been an increasing number of cultural, educational, and social studies using the praxis to delineate new postcolonial/post-Oriental approaches. Regarding distinctive national and indigenous cultures, the praxis should also embrace 'country/region as method' like 'South Korea as method', recently proposed by Kim and Jung. Their call helps postcolonial/post-Oriental researchers conduct some indigenous studies and intercultural analysis and uncover some hidden cultural assumptions or biased value beliefs in colonial/Oriental studies. This article aims to utilize some philosophical underpinnings and theoretical frameworks of post-structuralist/postmodern thinkers to capture some important fluidic elements to find out some inter-referenced parameters in the 'country/region as method' praxis. To address further diversities, pluralities, and variations to reshape the new landscape of postcolonial/post-Oriental discourses within and beyond Global South, it is also necessary to further fluidize the praxis using those fluidic elements.
