Abstract (English): This study analyzes the influence of the new Free Textbooks of the New Mexican School on the educational community of school zone 150 in Tula de Allende, Hidalgo. Through semi-structured interviews with teachers, school administrators, students, and families, perceptions regarding the appropriation, mediation, and use of these materials were identified. The results reveal five main categories: lack of understanding of the Analytical Program and adaptation to the new model, workload overload and time management, difficulties in reading comprehension and instructional continuity, lack of clarity in specific subject areas and inequality of resources, and confusion regarding inclusive language. It is concluded that, although the Free Textbooks represent a pedagogical innovation with the potential to strengthen critical thinking and active student participation, their effectiveness depends on teacher mediation, contextualized planning, and institutional support.
