Abstract (English): We must recognize that all people, with and without disabilities, are sexual beings from the moment we are born. We are all beings who love and deserve to be loved, and we should have the same training, attention, and sex education. Sex education programs for adolescents and young adults with specific educational needs associated with disabilities should be shared with young people, parents, and relevant authorities throughout Ecuador to prevent unwanted pregnancies. The objective of this research was to increase sex education programs for adolescent students with specific educational needs associated with intellectual disabilities. A qualitative method with a causal approach was applied, allowing me to understand the potential consequences and unexpected changes in certain contextual variables, which were verified through a survey. Responsible, unrestricted, and unbiased sex education for people with disabilities helps break down the stigmas and misinformation surrounding sexuality. A normalized sexual environment and adequate information on aspects related to sexual development and functioning have very positive effects on the personal and emotional development of adolescents with intellectual disabilities. Sexuality plays a very important role in the psychological development of human beings; however, it is still necessary to emphasize that people with intellectual disabilities are subjects of rights and responsibilities and, as such, should be provided with all opportunities that facilitate and enable their integration into their personal development and inclusion within society and the educational system. Abstract (Spanish): Debemos reconocer que todas las personas con y sin discapacidad somos seres sexuados desde el momento mismo en que nacemos, todos somos seres que amamos, y que merecemos ser amados, y debemos tener la misma formación, atención y educación sexual. Los programas de Educación Sexual dirigidos a adolescentes y jóvenes con necesidades educativas especificas asociadas a discapacidad deben ser socializadas con los jóvenes, padres de familia y autoridades competentes en todo el Ecuador, para evitar embarazos no deseados. El objetivo de la investigación se centró en incrementar programas de educación sexual para estudiantes adolescentes con necesidades educativas especificas asociadas a una discapacidad intelectual. Se aplicó el método cualitativo, con enfoque causal el cual me permite conocer las consecuencias que puede producir y cambios inesperados de ciertas variables del contexto y verificar por medio de una encuesta. Una educación sexual en personas con discapacidad llevada con responsabilidad, sin restricciones y perjuicios favorece a romper los estigmas y la desinformación que envuelven a la sexualidad, un ambiente sexual normalizado y una adecuada información sobre aspectos relativos al desarrollo y funcionamiento sexual aporta efectos muy positivos al desarrollo personal y emocional de los adolescentes con discapacidad intelectual. La sexualidad desempeña un papel muy importante en la conformación psicológica del ser humano, sin embargo, aún es necesario seguir haciendo insistencia en que la persona con discapacidad intelectual es un sujeto de derechos y deberes y, como tal, se le debe proporcionar todas las oportunidades que faciliten y posibiliten a su integración a su desarrollo personal, e inclusión ante la sociedad y el sistema educativo. Abstract (Portuguese): Devemos reconhecer que todas as pessoas, com ou sem deficiência, são seres sexuais desde o nascimento. Todos somos seres que amam e merecem ser amados, e todos devemos ter a mesma formação, atenção e educação sexual. Programas de educação sexual para adolescentes e jovens adultos com necessidades educacionais especiais associadas à deficiência devem ser compartilhados com jovens, pais e autoridades competentes em todo o Equador para prevenir gravidezes indesejadas. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi ampliar os programas de educação sexual para estudantes adolescentes com necessidades educacionais especiais associadas à deficiência intelectual. Foi aplicado um método qualitativo com abordagem causal, permitindo compreender as potenciais consequências e mudanças inesperadas em certas variáveis contextuais, verificadas por meio de um questionário. Uma educação sexual responsável, irrestrita e imparcial para pessoas com deficiência ajuda a quebrar os estigmas e a desinformação em torno da sexualidade. Um ambiente sexual normalizado e informações adequadas sobre aspectos relacionados ao desenvolvimento e funcionamento sexual têm efeitos muito positivos no desenvolvimento pessoal e emocional de adolescentes com deficiência intelectual. A sexualidade desempenha um papel muito importante no desenvolvimento psicológico do ser humano. Contudo, é necessário ressaltar que as pessoas com deficiência intelectual são sujeitos de direitos e responsabilidades e, como tal, devem ter acesso a todas as oportunidades que facilitem e possibilitem sua integração, desenvolvimento pessoal e inclusão na sociedade e no sistema educacional.
