| Abstract: |
This study explored the use of generative artificial intelligence by students to meet their academic requirements. It examined the most commonly used GenAI tool and the level of utilization for different tools. A descriptive survey method was employed that used purposive sampling. Results showed that ChatGPT and Google Gemini were the most commonly used GenAI tools by the respondents and that the majority of students demonstrated moderate utilization of GenAI, while a few reported high utilization. Using these digital platforms was found to be useful for science students in completing their academic requirements in higher education. With appropriate support and integration into the academic environment, these tools can empower students to achieve tremendous academic success and readiness for the future. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
