| Abstract: |
The article presents a research which identifies the problem in history textbooks for grade five students in the U.S. The author mentioned that a state simply adopt a basal text which does not solve all the difficulties inherent in the situation. The results of the tests showed that children in both the fifth and the seventh grades are unable to comprehend paragraphs intended for the fifth grade. |
