| Abstract: | The article reports on the addition of a unit in following directions to the English course of study in Plainfield High School in Plainfield, New Jersey. Through the said unit, first year students learn to fill in all the blanks used in the school and to follow instructions in fire drill, home-room procedure, machine-scored tests and others. Students also discuss the value of listening carefully to directions given in daily assignments. |
