Abstract:	The authors provide information on a method of teacher self development to simplify data collection and analysis in educational research. Their method is grounded in action research, which attempts to engage teachers with their practice and heighten teachers awareness of action within the process that, in turn, affects change in the classroom. The authors support the use of vignettes as a collaborative, communal method of inquiry and understanding, and they explore vignettes as a means of collecting and analyzing data valuable for professional development purposes.
