Abstract (English): This article addresses the aspects of students' trajectories that articulate family trajectories/choices and institutional proposals/offerings for secondary school students from the high and middle classes. In total, 614 interviews were carried out with students from fourteen public and private schools in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area, and 150 interviews with parents, teachers, directors and students from different social sectors. The results describe the diverse strategies that characterize these social groups in the Argentine context of the early 21stcentury. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Spanish): En este trabajo abordamos aquellos aspectos de las trayectorias de los alumnos/jóvenes que constituyen Ia expresión de la articulación entre elecciones y trayectorias familiares y las propuestas y ofertas institucionales disponibles para los jóvenes de sectores altos y medios que asisten al nivel secundario. Se realizaron 614 encuestas a alumnos(as) de 14 escuelas estatales y privadas del área metropolitana de Buenos Aires y 150 entrevistas a padres, docentes, directivos y alumnos(as) de diferentes sectores sociales. Los resultados apuntan a describir Ia diversidad de estrategias que caracterizan a estos grupos sociales en el contexto argentino, a comienzos del siglo XXI. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
