The Australian Science Teachers Association's School, Community, Industry Partnerships in science (SCIps) project provided a grant to a wildlife centre to work with a nearby primary school to develop an educational program for the community. There are many tiger snakes in the area and safety and conservation issues were the key to a program to increase the science awareness of the school and wider community. This paper reports a qualitative study of the program and its implementation.
