The article provides information on the Canadian Library Association's (CLA) Statement on Intellectual Freedom which sets the ethical foundation for library service in Canada. It carries public and private sector library institutions to enforce the concept of intellectual freedom in library service. It has series of recommendations that would make the Statement more effective and more applicable to the policy and practice in a library. |
