| Abstract: |
The article offers information on the significance of branch libraries in the U.S. These libraries are auxilliary units of an administrative entity which have separate quarters, an organized collection of library materials, paid staff and regularly scheduled hours of service to the public. These are advantageous to users because it is where library users go aside from the central library, where they read newspapers, surf the Web or take their children to storytime. Aside from these services, it also offer computer classes in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole to assist its users in building computer skills. |
