The article presents announcements about faculty and student research, awards, and appointments. Edie Rasmussen from the University of British Columbia was elected 2007 president of the American Society of Information Science & Technology. Margaret Mackey from the University of Alberta won a Faculty of Education McCalla Research Professorship. Also noted is Lisbeth Clemens' successful defense of her PhD thesis at the Graduate School of Library & Information Studies at McGill University. |
