The article focuses on the findings of the study that has documented basic descriptive information on district schools of California in program improvement. It states that a close to half the students in districts that are in program improvement were enrolled in the 1,439 schools in program improvement.. The author says that compared with the state's 802 districts not identified for improvement, the districts in program improvement were larger and were always located in urban settings. |
