When asked about the plots and themes of her books, she refers to providing the reader with an intense sense of place through detailed descriptions of colors, sounds, smells, as well as vivid metaphors. Sheth emphasizes that most of her books talk about immigrant experience and the restrictions of the Indian society prescribes for women. |
