Abstract: Chapter 11 of the book "Blended Learning: Research Perspectives," edited by Anthony G. Picciano and Charles D. Dziuban is presented. It explores the result of the study which assesses the effectiveness of Competency Based Education Equivalent (CBEE) Unit framework for the transformation of academic equivalency in online and blended courses in the U.S. The model has been effective in identifying educational equivalency based on academic achievement compared to time spent in the classroom.
