| Abstract: | The article discusses efforts to link students through technology to scientists doing field research. Examples include linking a class to marine scientists working on a remote Pacific island, in which they answered students' email questions and maintained a blog. The blog was arranged by the New England Aquarium, which sponsored the research project. The effort is one of many by scientists and education advocacy groups around the U.S. intent on making science more attractive to young people. |
