An interview with Patricia Hruby Powell, an award-winning author, is presented. When asked about her childhood in Arlington Heights, Illinois, she narrates her experiences and transition from dancing to writing children's books. She shares her inspirations for her two books, including how she got the illustrator for her second book. She also mentions her collaboration with Peter Thomas, who translated her books, her experiences as a writer and her new manuscripts. |
