Abstract (English): This study aims to analyze the relationship between school bullying and self-concept clarity in adolescents. This study also aims to analyze the levels of school bullying and self-concept clarity in adolescents according to some variables. The study group consists of 313 high school students in 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades at Ataturk High School, Kurtulus High School and Omer Seyfettin High School of Ankara during 2008-2009 academic year. In this study, Student Relationships Attitude Scale (SRAS) developed by Koc (2006) and Self-Concept Clarity Scale developed by Campbell, Trapnell, Heine, Kartz, Lavallee ve Lehman (1996) and adapted to high school students by Gungor (2000) were used. T-test and one way anova were used to analyze the data. It was found that there was a significant difference in subscale points of avoidance from bullying and bullying personality of SRAS according to gender; however there was not a significant difference in the subscale points of self confidence subscale. It was determined that there was a significant difference in the subscale points of bullying personality and self confidence of SRAS according to the mother's attitude; however there was not a significant difference in the subscale points of avoidance from bullying. It was found that there was a significant difference in the subscale points of bullying personality and avoidance from bullying of SRAS according to the father's attitude; however there was not a significant difference in the subscale points of self confidence. It was found that there was a significant difference in self-concept clarity according to the mother and father's attitude. It was observed that there was a significant correlation between the bullying personality subscale point of SRAS and Self-Concept Clarity Scale. It was observed that there was not a significant correlation between the self confidence and avoidance from bullying subscale points of SRAS and Self-Concept Clarity Scale. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Turkish): Bu çalışmanın amacı okul zorbalığı davranışı ile benlik belirginliği arasındaki ilişkiye bakılmasıdır. Aynı zamanda ergenlerin okul zorbalığı ile benlik belirginliği düzeylerinin bazı değişkenlere göre incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Ankara ili'nde bulunan Atatürk Lisesi, Kurtuluş Lisesi ve Ömer Seyfettin Lisesi'nde 9.-12. sınıflarında 2008-2009 eğitim-öğretim yılında öğrenim görmekte olan 313 lise öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Öğrenci İlişkileri Tutum Ölçeği Koç (2006) ve Campbell, Trapnell, Heine, Kartz, Lavallee ve Lehman (1996) tarafından geliştirilen, Güngör (2000) tarafından lise öğrencilerine uyarlanan Benlik Belirginliği Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde t testi ve tek yönlü anova kullanılmıştır. Sonuçlar arasında, Öğrenci İlişkileri Tutum Ölçeği'nin zorba kişilik ve zorbalıktan kaçınma alt ölçek puanlarının cinsiyete göre anlamlı bir farklılık gösterirken; kendine güven alt ölçek puanının anlamlı farklılık göstermediği görülmüştür. Öğrenci İlişkileri Tutum Ölçeği'nin zorba kişilik ve kendine güven alt ölçek puanlarının annenin tutumuna göre anlamlı farklılık gösterirken; zorbalıktan kaçınma alt ölçek puanının anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediği belirlenmiştir. Babanın tutumuna göre Öğrenci İlişkileri Tutum Ölçeği'nin zorba kişilik ve zorbalıktan kaçınma alt ölçek puanlarının anlamlı bir farklılık gösterirken; kendine güven alt ölçek puanının anlamlı farklılık göstermediği bulunmuştur. Benlik belirginliğinin annenin ve babanın tutumuna göre anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği görülmüştür. Öğrenci İlişkileri Tutum Ölçeği'nin zorba kişilik alt ölçek puanı ile Benlik Belirginliği Ölçeği'nin anlamlı ilişkiler ortaya koyduğu görülmüştür. Öğrenci İlişkileri Tutum Ölçeği'nin kendine güven ve zorbalıktan kaçınma alt ölçek puanları ile Benlik Belirginliği Ölçeği'nin anlamlı olmayan ilişkiler ortaya koyduğu görülmüştür.
