The article describes the developments in the Utah State University (USU) Regional Campus and Distance Education (RCDE). A short history of the USU, as well as how RCDE started along with its main objectives, are provided. Information on the technologies and innovations applied to carry out its distance learning program such as the hybrid class scheduling are explained. The expansion of its course offerings, problems it encounters, and how it helps people's lives in the rural areas are also mentioned. |
