The article focuses on the role of library managers and supervisors as accidental mentors to their student staff. It lists the benefits student employees get from this mentorship such as applied skills and experience. When it comes to the mentors, it offers them satisfaction in seeing the positive effects of the relationship on employees. The authors offer tips on how to become part of an accidental mentorship like giving the student employees additional responsibilities and giving feedback.
