The article discusses the use of mobile devices, such as smartphones, iPad computers, and the Nintendo DS game system, in education in the U.S. The author addresses the use of mobile technology as an educational tool and the 2010 Speak Up research project by education organization Project Tomorrow. Topics discussed at the Wireless EdTech Conference in Washington, D.C. on October 29, 2010 are explored. The use of mobile technology in content creation and immediate assessment is also examined. |
