| Abstract: |
The article discusses the issue concerning the infusion of the interdisciplinary Asian studies courses in the college honors curriculum. It addresses the challenges and opportunities when integrating Asian studies through a review of the three courses such as Asian theatre, Chinese Humanities through Taijiquan, and the body and the Chinese state. It notes that the courses, which were developed at the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) Honors College, provide knowledge on how to better handle the issue. It cites the entities which have promoted the teaching of Asian studies at the undergraduate level, including the Association of Asian Studies (AAS), the Asian Studies Development Program (ASDP), and the University of Texas at Austin's South Asia Institute. |
