| Abstract: |
The article presents an overview of the Grateful Dead Archivist at the University of California at Santa Cruz (UCSC). The 1965-founded American rock band Grateful Dead gave its archive to UCSC in 2008. The band was dissolved in 1995 and its recordings remain to be the property of Grateful Dead Productions. The archive at UCSC features records from Grateful Dead Archive employees. The archive spans several disciplines and fields, reflecting the interdisciplinarity of studies about Grateful Dead. UCSC aims to develop the archive into a marquee scholarly collection. |
