Abstract: The article offers the author's insights on the sequential approach using exercises for intermediate cellist students. The author says that exercises can help young students to know cello bow technique and fundamental and sophisticated issues of shifting, vibrato, and articulation. He relates his use of the "Feuillard Daily Exercises" in teaching students about the detail of cello bow technique.
