Abstract (English):	This article shows the results of a qualitative/documentary study on intercultural education carried out in the mountain region of Guerrero, Mexico. The paper analyzes in particular the Universidad Intercultural de los Pueblos del Sur, which has been able to develop a project in intercultural education and even expand it to five municipalities in the state of Guerrero. The university represents a space of informal education for indigenous youth, using an educational model oriented to the rural perspective and encouraging abilities in communities and families through technical assistance by transferring technology and specialized knowledge in agricultural activities. The paper concludes by making recommendations that orient intercultural educational practice, taking into account the evidence contributed by research. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Spanish):	Este artículo muestra los resultados de un estudio cualitativo-documental sobre educación intercultural, realizado en la región de La Montaña de Guerrero, México. Analiza en particular a la Universidad Intercultural de los Pueblos del Sur, la cual ha conseguido desarrollar su proyecto de educación intercultural e, incluso, expandirlo a cinco municipios del estado de Guerrero. Esta universidad representa un espacio de educación no formal para jóvenes indígenas, desarrollando un modelo educativo orientado a la perspectiva del medio rural y fomentando capacidades en las comunidades y familias, por medio de asistencias técnicas, transfiriendo tecnología y conocimientos especializados en actividades agropecuarias. Finalmente se hacen recomendaciones que orienten la práctica educativa intercultural, tomando en cuenta la evidencia aportada por las investigaciones realizadas. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
