Abstract: This literature review addresses the state of research concerning thc concept of the meaningful work. This inquiry built on thc theoretical foundation of thc content motivation theorists, but focused on what thc recent research informs us about meaning of work as a motivational construct. Three themes emerged — sense of self, the work itself and sense of balance — that became subsets for the concluding term of integrated wholeness. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
