| Abstract: | The article repots that rig time for well completion in the ultradeepwater Independence project in the eastern Gulf of Mexico has been reduced by running extra-long intelligent bottomhole assemblies (BHA). The project, operated by Anadarko Petroleum Corp., costs 2 billion U.S. dollars and is scheduled to start production in fall 2007. Anadarko chose the InForce intelligent well systems (IWS) of Baker Oil Tools. |
