Abstract: The article reports on the success of the Tennessee Society of CPAs (TSCPA) summer accounting program. The statewide program was created in 2001 to attract talented high school students to the accounting profession. The planning process developed by the TSCPA and the program agenda are detailed. Characteristics to identify in a university program are faculty, reputation, geographic location, accommodations, support services, and program director.
