| Abstract: |
This issue of "Illinois Libraries" contains the papers delivered at a 1974 workshop on government publications in microform. Twelve articles focus on such issues as: 1) reasons to collect microforms; 2) criteria for selecting microform documents; 3) microform hardware and software; 4) procurement procedures; 5) bibliographic control; and 6) specific information regarding microforms published by the Congressional Information Service, the Government Printing Office, the Bureau of the Census, the United Nations, and other state and federal agencies. A bibliography listing reviews of documents in microform and the results of a survey of microform collections of government documents in Illinois also are included. (EMH) |
