Abstract: This energy education unit contains activities and classroom management strategies that emphasize cooperative learning and peer teaching. The activities are designed to develop students' science, math, language arts, and social studies skills and knowledge. Students' critical thinking, leadership, and problem solving skills will be enhanced as they code and decode clues in Energy Enigma, make predictions in the Science of Energy, or when they assign dollar amounts to answers in Energy Jeopardy. This blueprint gives a brief description of 41 activities, the amount of time needed to complete each activity, and the range of appropriate grade levels. To meet the ability levels of different students, each activity contains alternate methods for conducting the activity. The unit also contains student and teacher evaluation forms and an examination.
