This training guide, developed during a project to retrain defense industry workers at risk of job loss or dislocation because of conversion of the defense industry, is designed for a course in blueprint reading for sheet metal workers. The following are among the topics covered in the course: orthographic projection; isometric and oblique projection; auxiliary views; surface identification; basic lines; drawing notes; title blocks; dimensions; flat pattern layout; tabulation tables; assembling drawings; and orthographic drawing interpretation.
