An introductory chapter offers historical background, information about Aleut dialects and dialect groups, notes on the original fieldwork, and descriptive and technical information about the texts and their editing and translation. Following this are 75 Eastern Aleut texts (left page) and their translations (right page), 4 Atkan texts, and 8 Attuan texts. Photographs and maps provide illustrations.
