Abstract: Fontbonne College's academic dean and vice president for academic affairs appointed a task force in August 1997 to investigate, over the course of one year, ways in which the library's development could be centered in teaching and learning. More specifically, the task force was to determine how library and information services could be rooted in the college's curricula an individual teaching and learning needs. This document represents the final report of the task force. Highlights of the report include: a statement of the problem; three proposals for the solution; operationalizing the solution; the creation of learning support teams; providing an additional credit hour for technology training activities; the implementation strategy; the timetable; and funding.
