Abstract: This Spanish-language document consists of four single-sheet sets of guidelines developed by the Family Involvement Partnership for Learning to assist parents in facilitating their children's elementary school success. The front part of the sheets describes general ways parents can support their children, including modeling writing, reading aloud, pointing out scientific phenomena in every-day surroundings, and emphasizing the importance of number concepts in daily life. The second side of the sheets presents specific writing, reading, science, and math exercises to engage very young children, middle grade children, and more advanced students. Activities include having children ask questions of an older person and write a coherent interview; practicing tongue twisters and reading poetry with children; having children make and observe bubbles and grow plants; and having children classify grocery items and handle money.
