Abstract: Through analysis of a qualitative case study, this paper argues that aspects of a hospital's environment affect the process of change promoted through the intranet. Specifically, the conditions of network readiness and continual change allowed the intranet to be accepted by organizational members and accomplished both surface change and deeper cultural change.
