| Abstract: | This evaluation aimed to provide: (1) findings on the effectiveness of different activities and approaches to delivering science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), including leading practice and challenges; (2) a clear understanding of the impact of activities on pupils, teachers, the school and partners; and (3) a set of recommendations and learning points that will inform longer-term developments, including a possible STEM specialism. The report includes the following sections: (1) school context and activities undertaken; (2) impacts arising from STEM pathfinder activities; (3) lessons learned from undertaking STEM pathfinder activities; (4) schools' views of a STEM specialism; and (5) conclusions and recommendations. (Contains 2 tables and 1 box.) |
