Abstract: Act 682, formerly Senate Bill 192, of the 2022 Regular Legislative Session created the Louisiana Postsecondary Inclusive Education Advisory Council (Advisory Council). Under the jurisdiction of the Board of Regents, the Council is charged to identify opportunities to expand existing or establish new inclusive programs, as well as to develop and manage an application process for public postsecondary institutions to request funds from the Louisiana Postsecondary Inclusive Education Fund. Per the legislation, the Advisory Council was created with the charge to "identify existing inclusive programs capable of providing technical assistance to institutions creating or expanding inclusive programs and developing a method to provide grants for such technical assistance." Annually, Act 682 charges the Advisory Council to produce a report addressing the key issues and research topics listed in the legislation. This year the Council continued its focus on expanding opportunities for students, including offering planning grants to support preparation for other potential new programs, and providing ongoing support for the state's existing programs.
