Abstract (English): The physiological problems, which mainly affect premature babies at birth, influence then by delaying their natural development. Music therapy can improve their physical, emotional, mental, social and cognitive aspects. In the studies carried out for our practical course, we have seen these preterm disturbances and the baby experiences a remarkable change by using music therapy, Improving the level of sleep, weight, breathing and circulation. In these studies, it is explained that applying this technique helps to mask the sounds of alarm and monitors that negatively affect the baby in the intensive care unit. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Spanish): Los problemas fisiológicos que afectan principalmente a los bebés prematuros al nacer, influyen retrasando su desarrollo natural. Mediante la musicoterapia se puede conseguir una mejora a nivel físico, emocional, mental, social y cognitivo. En los estudios analizados hemos podido observar esas alteraciones del pretérmino y con la aplicación de la musicoterapia los bebés experimentan un cambio destacable, mejorando el nivel de sueño, peso, respiración y circulación. En estos estudios se explica que, aplicar esta técnica, ayuda a enmascarar los sonidos de alarma y monitores que afectan negativamente al bebé en la unidad de cuidados intensivos.
