Introduccion: Physicological changes, sociodemographic, clinical and obstetric conditions during pregnancy lead to alterations predispose morbimortality in pregnant women. This study aims to characterize pregnant women attending antenatal care in the ESE Santiago de Tunja between January and June 2013. Materials and methods: Observational-descriptive study, in which databases were reviewed to determine the clinical characteristics and risk factors in 910 pregnant women. Results: Pregnant women aged between 13 and 46 years, 38% aged risk and 68% with another maternal history; 46% with maternal risk factor for morbidity being altered in the most common index body mass. 12.5% of total pregnant women have reported headache as the main symptom of alarm and 2.7% have showed alteration in the presentation of the fetus, and 12.5% reported headache as the main symptom of alarm. The 97% have received information about the psychoprophylactic course, guidance on food nutrition guide, and 72% received counseling on family planning before pregnancy. Conclusions: The characterization of pregnant women allowed to knowing socio-demographic, clinical and obstetric context and institutional programs towards the promotion and prevention. Introducción: Los cambios fisiológicos y las condiciones sociodemográficas, clínicas y obstétricas durante el embarazo llevan a predisponer alteraciones de morbimortalidad en las gestantes. El presente estudio busca caracterizar las gestantes que acudieron a control prenatal en la ESE Santiago de Tunja entre enero y junio de 2013. Materiales y métodos: Estudio de tipo observacional descriptivo que revisó las bases de datos de 910 gestantes para determinar las características clínicas y los factores de riesgo asociados. Resultados: Gestantes con edades entre 13 y 46 años, el 38 % con edades de riesgo y el 68 % con algún otro antecedente materno; el 46 % con factor de riesgo para morbilidad materna, de los cuales el más frecuente era la alteración en el índice de masa corporal. El 12,5 % de las gestantes manifestó cefalea como síntoma más frecuente de alarma y el 2,7 % mostró alteración en la presentación fetal. El 97 % recibió indicaciones sobre el curso psicoprofiláctico, orientación en guía alimentaria nutricional, y el 72 %, asesoría en planificación familiar antes del embarazo. Conclusiones: La caracterización de gestantes permitió tener conocimiento del contexto sociodemográfico, clínico, obstétrico y de los programas institucionales hacia la promoción y la prevención. Los antecedentes maternos y los factores de riesgo para morbilidad materna fueron los más frecuentes. Por lo tanto, es necesario su detección temprana e intervención. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
