Abstract (English): BACKGROUND: For some time now, regarding to the disautonomic syndrome, the variety of clinical manifestations have become less mere observations, the knowledge we currently have is based on some large studies conducted in many countries including ours. This have generated that we can now diagnose the type of disautonomic response and thus, choose the appropriate treatment for our patients. The REDIS study analyzed 1,647 tilt tests in which 71.5% were women. Of the analyzed tests 43% were vasovagal reaction, 38% were orthostatic intolerance (OI), and 4% were postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS). OBJECTIVE: To analyze the behavior of the vital signs during tilt test according to the subtype of disautonomic response (VV, OI, POTS) in concordance to the REDIS study. MATERIAL AND METHOD: A retrospective, observational study done at Hospital Ángeles Pedregal, Mexico City, for which 1,660 reports of tilt test were reviewed by measuring vital signs at the beggining of the test, at 70° and then each 5 and 10 minuts during the same. RESULTS: The difference between vital signs in the four groups during tilt test was statistically significant (p=0.0001), and also between the symptoms and diagnosis. CONCLUSION: In those patients with suggestive symptoms of disautonomy such as fatigue, dizziness, nausea, diaphoresis and cephalea we must conduct a tilt test to prove such dysfunction and establish the type of diagnosis, because there are evident hemodynamic differences among the variety of types which demands different and more specific treatments for the adequate control of the patients. Abstract (Spanish): ANTECEDENTES: en relación con el síndrome disautonómico, desde hace algunos años las menciones de tan variados cuadros clínicos han dejado de ser meramente observacionales y muchos conocimientos han surgido a través de grandes estudios realizados en varios países, incluido el nuestro. Esto ha generado que desde hace tiempo se cuente con la oportunidad de diagnosticar el tipo de respuesta disautonómica y, con ello, elegir una forma de tratamiento más específica para nuestros pacientes. En el estudio REDIS se revisaron 1,647 pruebas de inclinación, de las que 71.5% se realizaron en mujeres. De las pruebas evaluadas, 43% se interpretaron como reacción vasovagal, 38% como intolerancia ortostática y 4% como taquicardia postural ortostática. OBJETIVO: analizar el comportamiento de los signos vitales durante la prueba de inclinación de acuerdo con el subtipo de respuesta disautonómica (vasovagal, intolerancia ortostática y taquicardia postural ortostática), con base en el registro REDIS. MATERIAL Y MÉTODO: estudio retrospectivo, observacional, realizado en el Hospital Ángeles Pedregal, en el que se analizaron 1,660 reportes de pruebas de inclinación a través de la medición de los signos vitales al inicio de la prueba, a los 70° y posteriormente cada 5 y 10 minutos durante la misma. RESULTADOS: la diferencia de los signos vitales durante la prueba de inclinación fue significativamente estadística (p=0.0001) en los cuatro grupos, al igual que entre el tipo de síntoma y el diagnóstico. CONCLUSIÓN: en los pacientes con síntomas sugerentes de disautonomía, como fatiga, mareo, náuseas, diaforesis y cefalea, debe realizarse la prueba de inclinación para corroborar la disfunción y establecer el tipo de la misma, porque existen claras diferencias hemodinámicas entre los distintos tipos, lo que exige también tratamientos distintos y más específicos para el control adecuado de los pacientes.
