Abstract (English): Introduction: Adapted sport is a therapeutic strategy that allows the development of gross and fine motor function as motor competitions, additionally favoring sports gestures, in particular the throwing force, important in the practice of Boccias as a sport in a population with cerebral palsy Methodology: The investigation was presented under the case series design, cross section. Athletes with cerebral palsy from 7 to 17 years practicing boccia enrolled in intercollegiate games were considered as study population (n=7). Using as evaluation scales, the Coarse Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS), the Manual Skill Classification System (MACS) and the throwing force. Results: Seven athletes with cerebral palsy enrolled in the Intercollegiate games were analyzed, where 100% presented quadriplegia, 6/7 spastic cerebral palsy, according to the gross motor function, dimensions A (Supine-early), B (Sedent) are the most presented, according to the MACS, Classification 3 (manual ability with adaptations) 3/7, Classification 4 (manipulation of a limited selection of objects) was found 3/7, to finish the launching force more frequently it was: Lower launch with lower balance 4/7 and in centimeters greater than 500 cm 6/7. Conclusions: Boccias as an adapted sport allows to evaluate motor skills in a population with cerebral palsy, which can be used as evaluation, follow-up and therapeutic and competitive intervention measures. Abstract (Spanish): Introducción: El deporte adaptado es una estrategia terapéutica que permite desarrollar la función motora gruesa y fina como competencias motrices, favoreciendo adicionalmente gestos deportivos, en particular, la fuerza de lanzamiento importante en la práctica de Boccias como deporte en población con parálisis cerebral Metodología: Es una investigación de serie de casos, corte transversal. Se consideró como población de estudio deportistas con parálisis cerebral de 7 a 17 años practicantes de boccias inscritos en juegos Intercolegiados (n=7). Utilizando como escalas de evaluación, el Sistema de Clasificación de la Función Motora Gruesa (GMFCS), el Sistema de Clasificación de la Habilidad Manual (MACS) y la fuerza de lanzamiento. Resultados: Se analizaron 7 deportistas con parálisis cerebral inscritos a los juegos Intercolegiados en donde el 100% presentaron cuadriplejia, 6/7 parálisis cerebral espástica, según la función motora gruesa las dimensiones A(Supino -prono), B (Sedente) son las más presentadas, en cuento a la MACS se encontró Clasificación 3 (habilidad manual con adaptaciones) 3/7, Clasificación 4 (manipulación de una limitada selección de objetos) 3/7, para finalizar, la fuerza de lanzamiento con mayor frecuencia fue: Lanzamiento inferior con balanceo inferior 4/7 y en centímetros mayor de 500 cm : 6/7. Conclusiones: Boccias como deporte adaptado permite evaluar competencias motrices en población con parálisis cerebral, que pueden usarse como medidas de evaluación, seguimiento e intervención terapéutica y competitiva.
